To find out how many days or hours it has been since the water entered the home
Where did the leak come from?
Was the leak from a storm or escape of liquids and how did it enter the home. IE: through the roof, walls or flooring
How many rooms are affected and are they large rooms?
Do you have bedrooms, lounge rooms, and other types of rooms affected, so we can make an initial estimate of how much equipment will be required.
Is there any carpet that is wet?
Depending on the time frame carpets can be restored with methods including water extraction and steam cleaning.
Is there large furniture items in the room which are affected?
This will be a factor on how may people will be required to attend your home should large amounts of furniture need to be moved or relocated.
Have any temporary repairs been made?
We also want to ensure a trades person attended to stop the water source or is there a time they will be attending?

Upon arrival the technician will introduce themselves and ask to be taken to the affected areas. Once they have arrived they will begin documenting each affected area using specialist water detection tools, including moisture meters and infrared cameras. These tools identify hidden areas of water intrusion providing a detailed and precise analysis of each area.
We will prepare an in-depth report for you indicating:
- Damage to supporting framework, ceilings, walls, flooring, skirting, trim and other structural elements
- Affected flooring including carpets, floorboards, rugs and other floor coverings
- Detailed measurements of wet and dry areas so we have a “dry standard” to work to
- Photos of the affected areas
- A defined action plan detailing the equipment required to return your home to its normal healthy state as quickly as possible
